بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم،
الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله
I am a Salafī seeker of knowledge, following the methodology of the Salaf as-Ṣāliḥ in understanding the Qurʾān and Sunnah — free from blind following of any school, and free from the leniency of those who dilute the texts to suit the times.
My path began independently. I was drawn early to the works of Shaykh al-Albānī, whose approach grounded my thinking. I studied books like Ibn Ḥazm's al-Muḥallā, and especially this one, for its disciplined argumentation and rigorous use of evidence. Over time, I came to understand that sound knowledge requires not only reading texts, but understanding how the Salaf themselves understood and lived them — so I invested heavily in that. I especially read Tāreekh al-Islām more than other books, and it taught me how oblivious I am to how the Salaf actually thought, and how far we are from that.
My research led me to the scholars of Yemen from Ahlu as-Sunnah, whose methodology I found to be consistent with what I had already learned and trusted. I consult them (not as much as I would like, due to the distance), benefit from their fatwās. Shaykh Abū al-Yamān ʿAdnān al-Maṣqarī — may Allah preserve him — has written a preface for one of my works, which stands as a testimony to the approach I follow.
I am largely self-taught, and I say this openly. What matters is not the form of one's learning, but its soundness — verified always against the Book, the Sunnah, and the understanding of the Salaf.
Anyone who does not feel comfortable taking knowledge from me is free not to. That is their right, and I respect it.
May Allah make our knowledge sincere and beneficial.
