Ibn Taymiyyah lived in a scholarly world. We don’t live in one now.
Others completed him. We are left to complete ourselves.
So we move along this path like a turtle—slow… painfully slow.

«نحن نبدأ بما بدأ به الرسول -صلى الله عليه وسلم- بالتوحيد، بالأركان الخمسة، بتعليم المسلمين ما جاء به سيد المرسلين -عليه الصلاة والسلام-، ونمشي مشية وليدة بطيئة ولو كمشية السلحفاة، ولكننا سنصل -إن شاء الله- . أما أولئك فقد مضى عليهم قرابة قرن من الزمان وهم يصيحون: الحاكمية لله! ثم لا شيء من الحكم لأحكام الله -عز وجل- في خواص أنفسهم!! لو أن أحدهم قلت له: صل كما أمرك الله. لما استطاع أن يصلي!!!»- سلسلة الهدى والنور - شريط: 655 -
"We begin with what the Messenger ﷺ began with: tawḥīd, the five pillars, teaching the Muslims what the Chief of Messengers ﷺ brought. And we proceed with small slow steps—even if like the pace of a turtle—but we will arrive, in shāʾa Allāh.
As for those [al-Ikhwān], nearly a century has passed with them shouting, ‘Sovereignty belongs to Allāh!’ yet there is nothing of Allāh’s lesgistlation applied even within their own selves. If you were to say to one of them, ‘Pray as Allāh has commanded you’, he would not be able to pray!".
