Al-Albaany’s Diagnosis Of The Disease That Is Ravaging The Da'wah to Islaam today

Al-Albaany’s Diagnosis Of The Disease That Is Ravaging The Da'wah to Islaam today

The shaykh: I used to think that the problem in the Islamic world was only being far from understanding the true meaning of laa ilaaha illa Allaah. But with time I came to realize that there is another problem in this world in addition to that primary one: them being far from tawheed. The other problem is that most of them do not embody the correct manners of Islaam except to a very small degree.

I said: Among the reasons this sickness has grown more severe: social media.
The worst of them are Facebook and similar, and the least harmful are Telegram and WhatsApp.

Whether people like that or not.

We insist that whoever advises the youth to use them under the pretext of "competing with the disbelievers" has made a mistake.

That is because most young people are overtaken by zeal and impulsiveness, so they publish everything they come across.

Dry grass and a spark of fire.

What should we expect from that? Nothing but chaos and tribulations.

Just as it is not suitable for everyone to author books, the same applies to posting, because it requires knowledge, wisdom, and deliberation.
At the very least, those who post online should consult someone whose knowledge they trust about what they intend to publish, just as a beginning author consults someone trustworthy in knowledge about what they have authored.

I say this as advice to myself and to my brothers. Do not find the truth burdensome, and do not be deceived by what you have become accustomed to.
