He will give you until you are pleased, so be reassured

Allaah said: { And your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied }

A majestic divine promise to His Prophet, overflowing with reassurance and serenity. It is a glad tidings that the divine gift to His Prophet is not limited to worldly blessings but includes the delights of the Hereafter and complete satisfaction. Scholars have said that Allaah does not truly please His Prophet except by admitting his Ummah into Paradise. Thus, this verse is among the most hopeful in the Qur’aan for the believers.

Its meaning is: Your Lord, O Muhammad, will give you such abundance of favor and honor that you will be fully satisfied with your Lord. This was realized in his life through victory and empowerment, and it will reach its fullest on the Day of Judgment when Allaah is pleased with his intercession for his Ummah.

It is a verse that reminds the believer that whoever pleases Allaah will be pleased by Allaah, and that satisfaction is the ultimate form of divine gift.
